His father was J. E. Miller and his mother, Martha (Robb) Miller were living 1925 at Ottumwa, Iowa.
Roy left Iowa and came to Davenport, Lincoln County, WA in 1902.
He married Pearl G. Matherly on the 15 April 1906.
About 1908 he moved to a farm at Bluestem, WA. When he passed away he had 550 acres in crop and carried a fair amount of life insurance
He died suddenly at his home after seemingly in the best of health and had been working hard all day. He had just started to milk when he complained of a very severe pain in his head, and fell unconscious. A physician was called but he died within two hours after the stroke.
His funeral was held in the Harrington Baptist Church. He was prominent in the lodges of the vicinity and the Harrington Odd Fellows were in charge of his burial.
His wife was left with 4 small children, the oldest of which was ten.
