Aviation Cadet Harold E. Miller, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Miller, living near Wyandotte, south of Dayton, was killed in an airplane crash Tuesday at Tuscaloosa, Ala., according to a message received by his parents.
The young man spent several months a Camp Shelby, where he rose to the rank of master sergeant. He was transferred to the air force last January and was accepted as an aviation cadet. He was a member of the Dayton Methodist church.
Cadet Miller was the fiance of Miss Betty Staley of Mulberry and the couple was planning to be married as soon as the young man received his wings.
Funeral services will be held at the Baker funeral home in Dayton Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
