"MRS. GEORGE A. MILLARD DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. George Arthur Millard, a resident of this village for a number of years, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert U. Hayes, Williams street, Saturday, after a long period of illness. The deceased, whose maiden name was Fannie Gordon, was born in Louisville, Ky., a daughter of the late Archibald Alexander Gordon and Priscilla Christian Bullitt. She was married in 1876 to George Millard, who died several years ago.
Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, A. Gordon Millard of Long Beach, Calif., and four grandchildren, including Robert U. Hayes, Jr., Gordon M. Hayes, and Anne Hayes, all of this place.
The funeral was held privately on Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Robert U. Hayes and burial was made in the family plot in Clayville."
Note: The given name of Mrs. Robert U. Hayes was Cornelia Elise Millard and Elise was born in St. Louis, Mo., July 17, 1882.
