He was born June 4, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo. He moved to Lubbock in 1962 from Albuquerque, N.M. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He married Ruth M. Lewis July 6, 1951, in Denver. He worked as a factory representative for Alexander-Smith Carpet Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge 5 in Denver, the Lubbock Scottish Rite and the Kiva Temple in Amarillo. He also was a member of the Confederate Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve of Denver; two daughters, Beverly Rothwell of Hobbs, N.M., and Judy Brock of Stephenville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
