Nancy was the daughter of Arthur Wellington Miles and Mary McNiel. She married Edwin Barron on 25 Dec 1879 in Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of Mayme, James, and Maude.
Nov 10, 1913 - Carroll Sentinel - The remains of Mrs Nancy Jane Barron were brought to this city Friday afternoon and placed to rest in the city cemetery immediately after arrival.
Mrs Barron died at the home of her daughters Misses Mayme and Maud Barron of Sioux City, Wednesday, April 2, 1913, of Bright's disease from which she had been suffering for many years and was practically an invalid a year before her death.
She was born in Strathroy, Canada, August 8, 1857, married to Edwin J. Barron about 1879. To this union three children, two daughters, Miss Mayme and Miss Maud, and one son, James Barron all of Sioux City, were born.
The family moved to Carroll in 1890 but at the time of Mr Barrons accidental death in 1904, they lived in Washington Iowa, after which the mother and children returned to Carroll. In 1910 Mrs Barron and daughters moved to Sioux City. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church.
