Cora Miles- Friday, 2 November, 1916
Gone to Be With Jesus. Cora Miles, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Miles, was 25 years of age and went home to be with Jesus on the 17th day of October,
1916. The grave is not the deepest sorrow. Her suffering was great but she bore it like one who knew the Lord. We know that it is hard for papa and mamma to do without little Cora but then we know that our loss is her eternal gain, and if we will only be true to Jesus we shall soon see little Cora again. If we could only push back the curtains today that hang between us and the heavenly land I am sure we could see little Cora Miles beckoning to papa and mamma to come on and be with her and the angels. We beg the Lord to sanctify this bereavement to the good of the souls of all the family.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, I am this dark world's light; look unto Me, they morn shall rise and all thy days be bright.
I looked to Jesus and I found in Him my star, my sun; and in that light of life I'll walk, till all my journey's done. G. N. Smith.
