HOMER R. MILES KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT FRIDAY FORMER LANETT YOUNG MAN BURIED HERE MONDAY AFTERNOON
Funeral services for Homer R. Miles, formerly of Lanett and reared here, were held at Lanett Methodist church at 2 P. M. Monday, Rev. C. L. Ellis, the pastor, conducting the services, and interment was in Lanett cemetery. Mr. Miles who was 31 years of age had made his home in St. Louis for a number of years, where he was a well known and popular business man. He was the victim of an automobile accident which occurred Friday at Wilson, Ark. With his wife he was driving to Atlanta to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Miles when his automobile crashed into a culvert and overturned, killing him instantly and injuring his wife slightly. Homer Miles was reared to manhood in Lanett, his parents having made their home here for many years. He was a young man of unusual business ability who had made his way to success in the field of electric refrigeration, and was well known in Atlanta where he was in business several years. His untimely and tragic death came as a shock to his many friends here, who deeply sympathize with his family.
