Edmund Joseph Mihalski, 68, died Friday at Casey House Hospice in Montgomery County, Maryland. He had esophageal cancer.

Mr. Mihalski was a resident of Kensington, Md., for nearly 30 years. He was born and raised in Minersville.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Snyder Mihalski, and his father, Edmund F. Mihalski, Pottsville.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathy Broadwater; his son, E.J. Mihalski; his dog, Max; brothers, James Mihalski and his wife, Victoria, Allentown, Timothy Mihalski and his wife, Nanci Mayer-Mihalski, Hockessin, Del.; a sister, Deborah McGovern and her husband, Bernard, Pottsville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services entrusted to Collins Funeral Home, Silver Spring, Md. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.
