Obituary as follows:
Funeral Mass for Mary Olga Lorello will be celebrated from Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Jeff Benusa as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, where Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband.
The vigil service will be conducted from the Anaconda Chapel of KT Riddle Funeral Homes at 7 p.m. Thursday. Wake and visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Mary was born Jan. 1, 1922, in San Massimo, Italy, the oldest of three children born to Antonio and Concetta (Tortorelli) Micone. When Mary was six years old, she and her mother came to the United States on a ship, where they met her father Antonio in New York and continued their trip to Anaconda, where Antonio worked for the Anaconda Co. as a smelterman. Mary attended St. Paul's School.
In February 1937, she married Ralph Lorello in St. Paul's Catholic Church. They made their home in Anaconda. Mary worked as a nurse's aide at St. Ann's Hospital for 30 years before retiring. After she retired she worked four years as a lunchroom supervisor at the high school.
Mary was a member of the Anaconda Catholic Community. She loved to fish, especially on Rock Creek. She also enjoyed visiting with people. She traveled to Italy three times and also visited Yugoslavia.
Memorial donations are requested to the Anaconda Catholic Community Luncheon Committee.
Survivors include her sister, Cecilia Chapin of Anaconda; brother, John Micone of Steilacoom, Wash.; companion, Lawrence Elliott; brother-in-law, Peter Lorello of Reno, Nev.; nieces, Rita Sampair and husband Chuck of Spanaway, Wash., Chris May and husband Mark of Anaconda, Terry Pederson and husband Kurt of Philipsburg; nephews, Mike Chapin and wife Phyllis of Deer Lodge Valley, Mark Chapin and wife Margaret of Portland, Ore., John Micone Jr. of Steilacoom, Mark Micone and wife Patty of Tacoma, Wash., Tony Micone and wife Paula of Topeka, Kan., and Ralph Micone of Steilacoom; great-nieces and -nephews, Monica and Michelle Chapin, Dan and Dwayne Pederson, Samantha and Peter Lorello, Jody Winter, Anna and Megan Micone, Kendall Micone, Rhea and Christopher Micone, John Marion, Rafe and Eric Barry.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph, died on Oct. 21, 1992; son, Ralph Michael Lorello Jr., died Dec. 13, 1940; and special nephew, Michael Lorello, died June 5, 2000.
Services are under the care of the KT Riddle Funeral Homes, Anaconda.
