MONETT, Mo. -- Marlin James Mickle, age 64, of Monett, Mo, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, in Monett Health Care Center. He was born June 3, 1943, in Elk River, Minn., to James Spencer and Bernice Alice Rechenberg Mickle. He was a former resident of Verona. He grew up in Minnesota, moved to Colorado and 28 years ago moved to the southwest Missouri area. He kept detailed records on the hummingbirds that came to his home. He also enjoyed modifying and working on automobiles along with his jobs at College Street Auto Body and R & R New Parts & Salvage. His last employment was a machinist for Miracle Recreation. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Marie Rittmiller; three stepdaughters, Cassie Luna, Jennie Schmitt and Carrie Craig; two stepsons, Ross Steelman and Billy Craig; his mother, Bernice Mickle; a sister, Vernetta Dummann and two grandchildren.
His body was cremated under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, online at www.fohnfuneralhome.com. No services are planned at this time.
Burial: Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
