Mrs. Michel Passes Away in Hospital
TABERG – Mrs. Anna Michel, 88, of R D 2 (Shean Rd.), widow of Joseph Michel, died today in a Rome Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been in failing health for the last year.
She was born Jan. 22, 1879, in Velke Rovne, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Emrich and Clara Harajoik Mancar, and was married there on Jan. 10, 1899 to Joseph Michel. He passed away in Czechoslovakia on July 1, 1915.
Mrs. Michel came to this country in 1931, settling in Taberg. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Glenmore.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Adam (Maary Trinchik with whom she made her home and Mrs. Emerich (Pauline) Michtalika, in Czechoslovakia’ two sons, Emerick and Joseph, both in Czechoslovakia; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Angela)
Drblik, Montreal, Canada; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, with prayer at 9 a.m. at the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home, Rome, and at 10 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church, Taberg, where a solemn requiem Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Taberg.
Friends may call at the funeral home with evening 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Michel, RD 2, Taberg, who died Monday, were held at 9 today at the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home, and at St. Patrick’s Church at 10.
A solemn requiem high Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Bernard A. Garstka, pastor, with the Ref. Casimir Krzysiak as deacon and the Rev. Donald J. Bauer as sub-deacon.
Bearers were Theodore Charosia, Sigmunt Broski, Albert Lappin and Frank Boncella. Interment was made in the family plot in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
