Erma L. Michaels Irvin was born in Beason on March 20, 1908, the daughter of John A. and Amelia Hoose Michaels. She married Wilbur Irvin on April 26, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Irvin is survived by two nephews, Francis H. Michaels, McKinney, Texas, and Gerald Michaels, Waynesville; and one niece, Virginia M. Walters, Bloomington. Also surviving are several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Irvin graduated from LeRoy High School and Brown's Business College in Bloomington.
She was the oldest member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church, of which she was a lifelong member.
She was a well-known seamstress for many years in the Atlanta area.
