Clinton A. "Tiny" Meyer, 73, of Marshall, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Marshall United Pentecostal Church in Marshall. Rev. Pete Swaringam will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scott Forrester, Steve Whyte, Russ Whyte, Dewayne Meyer, Danny Meyer, Jamie Browder and Terry Browder. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Owens, Frank Riffert and Ralph Walker. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Marshall United Pentecostal Church or the family's choice. Born April 27, 1933, in Miami, he was the son of the late August Garrett Meyer and Goldie Moline Campbell Meyer. On Aug. 3, 1964, he married Shirley Viola Browder, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County his entire life and was a farmer and truck driver for many years. He attended Marshall United Pentecostal Church.
Additional survivors include two sons, Dewayne Meyer and Wanda of Marshall; and Danny Meyer and wife Staci of Marshall; two daughters, Michelle Whyte and husband Steve of Marshall; and Kristy Forrester and husband Scott of rural Marshall; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mary Louise Kahl of Menominee, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
