CYNTHIA ROSE CARPENTER, 52, of Woodburn, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn. She was an office manager for Steamatic, Fort Wayne for 12 years.

Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Kent of Woodburn; daughters, Mariah (Larry) Betz and Courtney Carpenter, both of Woodburn; mother and step father, Donna and Delvin Cunningham of New Haven; sisters, Vickie (Jim) Murphy of Fort Wayne; Penny (Loren) Lengacher of New Haven; step brothers, Jerry and Dennis Cunningham; step sister, Kathy Clark; three grandchildren, Macy, Blaze, and Dallas; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norvelle "Shorty" Messmann.

Service is 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn, with calling one hour before service time. Calling also from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Woodburn. Preferred memorials to Woodburn Lutheran School or the family.
