Mrs. Linnie ANDERSON, 84, R.R. 5, Rochester, died at her home at 4:30 p.m. Thursday following a six-month illness. She had lived in the vicinity of Tiosa practically her entire life.
She was born in Dana, Ill., April 24, 1870, to Ephriam and Elizabeth (BUSENBERG) MESSERSMITH. On Sept. 12, 1891, she was married to Harmon ANDERSON, who died in 1952. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Tiosa Brethren church.
Surviving are one son, Harvey [ANDERSON], South Bend; one daughter, Mrs. Ona HEDRICK, this city; three brothers, Hiram MESSERSMITH, Culver; George MESSERSMITH, Logansport, and Milton MESSERSMITH, Zearing, Iowa; three grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tiosa Brethren church with the Rev. Wayne SWIHART officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.
The body was removed from the Foster funeral home to the Anderson residence where friends may call up until 1 p.m. Sunday, at which time it will be taken to the church to lie in state until the services.
