Elverna (Merrell) Anesi, 77, of Vine Street, Oak Hill, Dallas, died Saturday at Penn State Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Alice Keiper Merrell. She attended Forty Fort schools and resided in Idetown for the past 45 years. She previously resided on Durkee Street in Forty Fort. Surviving are her husband, Lewis; sons, Dale L., Pikes Creek; Donald R., Hallstead; brother, Robert Merrell, Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Nancy Newman, Hudson, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, with the Rev. John C. Lambert officiating.
