She was a Methodist and a life long resident of Izard County.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Merrell and one daughter, Mary Lou Merrell of Brockwell, her mother, Mrs Dave Caruthers of Oxford, three brothers, Jewell Caruthers of Lepanto, Troy Caruthers, Wichita, Kans., and Roy Caruthers, Oxford, seven sisters, Mrs Lola Turner, Springfield, Missouri, Mrs Effie Ward, Mrs Vera Ward both of Wiseman, Mrs Gertrude Keylon, Franklin, Mrs Nola Bell Montgomery, Oxford, Mrs Roselene Helm, Wenatchee, Washington and Miss Tressie Caruthers of Oxford.
Funeral services were held in the Oxford Methodist Church last Friday afternoon and burial was in the Wiseman Cemetery.
