Mr. Johnny Lee Merrell, age 53, of Lewistown, MO died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at 2:45 p.m. in Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

He was born Oct. 9, 1953 in Edina, MO a son of Vincent Lyle and Marjorie Bernice Brotherton Merrell.

He enjoyed gardening, visiting and helping other and investing his money at the local casinos.

He is survived by one son Jamie L. Merrell and his wife Debby of Ewing; also three grandchildren Gayla, Cassie and Brennan Merrell all of Ewing; life companion Shari of Odessa, TX; two brothers Mike Merrell of Lewistown and Steve Merrell of Canton; one sister Karen Eggen of Phoenix, AZ, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother George Wilson Tucker.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with Rev. David Howald officiating. Inurnment will be in Ashton Cemetery near Kahoka, MO. Visitation will be held Wed. from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing.

The family suggests memorials be made to make a wish foundation.
