This 2-sided 6-foot-tall polished black granite monument in the shape of California was installed on January 31, 2006. It bears the names of more than 130 North (San Diego) County-based service members killed in Vietnam and local POWs still unaccounted for, below the words "Never Forget..."
It is located on the campus of the Army and Navy Academy at 2605 Carlsbad Blvd., Carlsbad, CA 92008. Located across the street from the Academy buildings on the S/W corner of the football field, along Carlsbad Blvd. A granite plaza with benches and landscaping will eventually be added.
