She attended South Side High School. She worked at Poor Johns Lounge for 30 years. She loved her family her extended family her cats and her friends.
Surviving is her ex-husband and companion Harold L. Melchi, son, Daryl R. Melchi, grandson, Adrian P. Melchi, sisters Darla G. Dickerson, Karen S. Dickerson and Shari (Charles) Spoor, niece, Jayda (Scott) Cole, step-children, Dawn (Jonathan) Derr, Garold L. Melchi and Sherril (Scott) Lukins and their children.
Kay was preceded in death by her son Darold J. Melchi.
Calling will be Thursday July 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. Per Kays request there will be no formal service just time of remembering. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
