Catherine E. Dreismeier, 83, of Crofton, died Monday, February 23, 1987 in the Good Samaritian Center in Bloomfield.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton, with Rev. Emmett Meyer officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Dennis Berkland, Andrew Meirose, Rod Eisenhauer, Dean Mackeprang, Norman Mackeprang and Richard Mackeprang. Mrs. Dreismeier the formeer Catherine E. Meirose, was born June 1, 1903, in Bow Valley, to Henry and Bernadina (Rohe) Meirose. She grew up in Bow Valley and moved to crofton after her marriage to Joseph Dreismeier on October 6, 1925 in Bow Valley. He died October 15, 1977, and she moved to the nursing home in Bloomfield. Mrs Dreismeier was a member of Crofton American Legion Auxiliary Post 128. Survivors include six children, Mrs. Jim (Delia) Hayworth and Mrs. Don (Joan) Roth, both of Omaha, Jerald of Central City, IA, Darlene Dreismeier of Sargeant Bluffs, IA, Roger of Springville, IA and Mrs. Lance (Sharon) King of Garden Grove, CA; one brother Anton Meirose of Montrose, SD; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Jerome.
