Abbie K. Linsenmeyer, 91, Blue Springs, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 1, 2005, at the Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. She was born March 5, 1913, at rural Beatrice, and attended country school. She was married to Alfred F. Linsenmeyer on Feb. 22, 1941, and they lived and farmed at rural Blue Springs. She moved to Blue Springs in 2003. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice, and participated in the blanket sewing group. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, baking and being outdoors.

Survivors: daughter, Marjory Dorn and husband Roland of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Mark Dorn and Devin Dorn, both of Blue Springs, and Deborah Rinne and husband Ray of Lincoln; six great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Parde of Beatrice; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian H. and Katharina (Smith) Meints; husband, Alfred (Oct. 29, 1987); daughter, Ruth Buss (1966); sister, Emma Cramer; brothers, Elmer and Henry Meints.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, St. John Lutheran Church, Sixth and Washington streets, Beatrice, Pastor Richard Fruehling and Ernest Waltke, Parish Minister Associate, officiating. Burial: Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. Family prayer service: 10:15 a.m. Saturday, chapel of the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with Don and Joan Linsenmeyer in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home, 19th and Garfield streets, Beatrice, from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 9 p.m. Friday evening, and then on Saturday at the church for one hour preceding the services.
