Visitation for Henrietta M. Green, 88, of Gilman, will be from 4 p.m. today at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, and
and from 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth, until the 11 a.m. services. Rev. James Gerth will
officiate. Burial will be in Wenger Cemetery, Gilman. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 308 N. Front St., Danforth, Il. 60930, or to the donors choice.
She died Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2006) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion. Mrs. Green had worked at Jerry's Department Store,
The Duto Mill Restaurant and Farr's Motel, all in Gilman. She was born June 30, 1918, in Danforth, Il. the daughter of George M. Sr. and Gertie Tammen Meints. She was raised in rural Danforth and attended Danforth country schools. Her husband Francis a. Green, who she married June 29, 1958 died March 16, 1991. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth. She enjoyed reading shopping, cooking and crocheting. Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, James and Patricia Green of Watseka, and Michael Green of Kankakee; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in law, George Jr. Ivadelle Meints of Danforth; and one niece. Deceased are two brother, Ervin and Gerald Meints; one sister Evalena Eschen; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann.
