Edna Meili, 77, of 2020 Monroe St., New Holstein, died this morning shortly after admittance to Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
The former Edna Glasnapp was born in Fond du Lac, Nov. 3, 1902, a daughter of Louis and Louise Baum Glasnapp. She attended Fond du Lac Schools and the Fond du Lac Normal School. She taught school in northern Illinois. She married Otto Meili June 2, 1928, in New Holstein.
Mrs. Meili was a member of St. John United church of Christ, New Holstein, its Women's Fellowship, and a former superintendent and teacher in its Sunday School. She was also a member of the New Holstein-Calumet Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 262, the New Holstein Garden Club, the New Holstein Historical Society, and the New Holstein Liberal Arts Club.
Survivors are two sons, Glen Meili, of Farmington, Mich., and rev. Philip Meili, of Fraser, Mich.; a daughter, Miss Janet Meili, of New Holstein; five grandchildren; a brother, Harrison Glasnapp of Fond du Lac, and a sister, Mrs. Meta Roeck of New Holstein.
Funeral services will be held at St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein. The Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the New Holstein cemetery.
