Leanna Borg, age 70 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

She was born June 14, 1943 in Gary, Ind., to Harley and Helen (Snyder) Meese who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lester Borg of Chesterton; son, Robert (Amy) Borg of Valparaiso, Ind.; daughter, Kathy Borg and fiance Stuart Zengler of Valparaiso; sister, Marilyn Cline of Kansas; grandchildren, Stephen (Melissa) Borg, Elliot Borg, Sarah Cannon, Lydia Cannon, and Hannah Frownfelter; and great-grandson, Riley.

Leanna previously worked as a clerk for Hooks/CVS and in the framing department for Ben Franklin for many years.

She enjoyed rug weaving and spending time with her grandchildren. Leanna was fond of the beach and she enjoyed the ocean and the lake.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gateway for Cancer Research, 1336 Basswood Road, Schaumburg, IL, 60173.
