"Richie" Richard Earl Meeker, 67, of Oregon, went home to be with the Lord, unexpectedly Monday, May 31, 2010, at The Toledo Hospital. Richie was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 22, 1942 to Kenneth and Gladys (Cowell) Meeker. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam War. Richie retired from Pilkington, Rossford Plant in 1999 after 30 years of service. He attended New Harvest Christian Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Beverly; daughter, Tina (Mike) Webster; mother, Gladys Kelser; brothers, Lyle (Sylvia), Jerry (Kathy), Larry (Pam) and Bernie (Verna) Kesler; grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Alexionah, Brooklynn, Aiden, and a lot of nieces and nephews. Richie was preceded in death by his father; son, Richard II; brother, Kenny. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, on Friday, June 4th from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to New Harvest Christian Church. Richie will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
