Anthony F. "Tony" Medved, age 84, formerly of Plymouth, passed away early Tuesday evening ,December 28, 2010 at Willowdale Nursing Homes.
Tony was born on May 28, 1926 in West Allis, WI a son of the late Joseph and Rose Medved. He attended Milwaukee area grade schools.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1944 1946, serving in World War II.
On August 30, 1958 he married Gladys Molitor in Marytown, WI. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage.
Tony was employed at Kraft Foods and at Borden Foods, retiring in 1988 after 40 years of service.
Tony was a member of the Rhine-Plymouth Field & Stream Gun Club. He loved fishing and hunting, growing roses, and watching his children and grandchildren in their many sports, especially baseball. Tony was an avid Brewer and Packer fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Gladys of Plymouth; two sons, David (Gwen) Medved of Marytown, WI and Jon Medved of Plymouth, WI; three daughters, Rosie "Tootie" (Terry) Schwartz, Ann (Eugene) VanDeHei and Vicki (Roger) Binder; five grandchildren, Barry Medved, Ranee Medved, Ashley Schwartz, Dustin Medved and Allyson Binder; two great- grandsons, Keano Medved and Mike Murray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Medved; his father, and mother-in-law, John and Olive Molitor; his infant daughter, Mary Medved; two brothers, Frank (Evelyn) Medved and Chuck (Francis) Medved; one sister, Fanny (Hylas) Fall and one brother-in-law, Eugene Molitor.
Funeral services will be held on Monday evening January 3, 2010 at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
