Freda L. Adams, 79, Independence, Mo., passed away Friday, July 7, 2006, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Freda was born on April 27, 1927, in Mulberry, Ark., to Elva E. and John E. Medlock Sr. Freda worked in the greater Kansas City area and retired from American Can Co. to enjoy life with her husband, Harry, of 41 years. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, canning, crocheting and going to the Lake of the Ozarks to fish. She loved her husband, Harry, who preceded her in death on March 17, 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna; two brothers, Joe Medlock of Dyer, Ark., and Jerial Medlock of Altus, Ark.; and one sister, Ruth Medlock of Alma, Ark.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, Independence, 816-252-7900. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Kansas City. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at the chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo. 64145.
