Mary S. Breckbill, 78, of 494 Fieldcrest Drive, Willow Street, died Thursday morning at Community Hospital of Lancaster following an illness.
Mrs. Breckbill helped her husband run the family farm.
A member of New Providence Mennonite Church, she belonged to the sewing circle and Golden Ager group.
She loved flowers and enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Born in Strasburg Township, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Annie B. Shaubach Meck.
She was married to Parke L. Breckbill for 57 years on Feb. 22.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, H. Mervin, husband of Anna Ruth Hostetter Breckbill of Holtwood, John David, husband of Susan Gehman Breckbill of Ephrata, and P. Wilmer, husband of Susan Nolt Breckbill of Annville; two daughters, Miriam E., wife of Roy L. Peters, and Anna Mary Breckbill, both of Willow Street; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul S., husband of Blanche Meck of Willow Street; and a sister, Suie S., wife of Edward McMichael of Lititz.
A brother, Parke S. Meck, and a sister, Elsie S. Keeport, preceded her in death.
