Mr. Mears was born in Shelby county Dec. 25, 1882, the son of Levi and Juliette Mears. He had lived in Decatur intermittently most of his life, returning here from Evanston three years ago.
He leaves the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary S. Kling, Mrs. Ella Davidson, Mrs. Mabel Laws, all of Decatur, George F. Mears of Vandalia, Otis E. Mears of Herrick, and LeRoy Mears of Shelbyville, Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Moran & Sons funeral home where friends may call after 1 p.m. today. Burial arrangements are incomplete.
