Carole A. Meadowcroft, 72,entered into rest June 16, 2009, at her home. She was the wife of the late Thomas W. Meadowcroft, Sr.
Born July 7, 1936, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Eleanor (Mason) Rice.
Carole was the owner of the Pioneer Pub, formerly the Pioneer House, in Hereford, Md., for many years. She previously worked at the former C&P Telephone Co., Baltimore. Her true passion throughout life was raising her children and caring for and spending time with her family.
Surviving are three children, Timothy D. Meadowcroft of Freeland, Md., Thomas W. "Bill" Meadowcroft, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of Freeland, and Kimberly A. Polley and her partner, Charles Norris of Parkton, Md.; a sister, Nancy Tracey of Freeland; two brothers, Thomas Rice of Whitehall, Md., and John Rice of Freeland; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Lindsay, Amanda, John, Lauren, Tom, Shawn, Heather, and Dalton; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Madisyn.
Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
