Betty Joe Meade Bolling, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her home. Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pound, a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and a former employee of Wise Heritage Hall. Betty was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFR #9600 and the Wise County FCE. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Guy Bolling; parents, Ada Mullins Meade and Carl Bruce Meade; sister, Charlotte Layne; and three brothers, Nick Meade, Boke Robin Meade and Ross E. Meade. Surviving are sons, Ernest Joe Bolling and wife Dianna of Pound and Vernon Lee Bolling and wife Greta of Pound; daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Marlene Hunsucker and husband Rick of Norton, Mrs. Rhonda Jean Miller and husband Mark of New Port Beach, CA and Ms. Guyetta Meade Stanley of Pound; grandchildren, Joseph Arron Bolling, Daniel Glen Hunsucker, Vernon Thomas Padgett, Elizabeth Grace Bolling, Timothy Guy Stanley, Christian Lee Miller, Greyson Ross Miller, Faraha Lynn Stanley, Olivia Rose Miller, Sara Paige Bolling and Kaitlyn Amber Bolling; great-grandchildren; Joshua Bolling, Candace Bolling, Jordan Hamilton, Braydon Hamilton, Johnathon Dallafior, Bentley Stanley, Audrey Emma-Faye Bolling; sisters, Mrs. Zelma Aichel of Wise and Bannie Hanes of Richmond, VA; brother, Wallace Meade of Pound; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other friends and loved ones. Funeral services for Betty Bolling will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Rev. George Aichel and Rev. Mike Hunsucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Banner-Bolling Cemetery in Pound, VA. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. till time of services at 2:00 P.M.
