Margaret Ellen was a strong, independent woman. She chewed tobacco. She put out a garden and grew her own tobacco and she worked her garden up into her late 80's. She was in bed the last few years of her life, but she still ruled the family home which was filled with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
