MANY ATTEND FUNERAL
OF HARMON E. MEACHAM

Friends thronged to the Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, when funeral services for Harmon E. Meacham were conducted. Rev. B. Scott Bates delivered a helpful sermon. The floral tributes were many and were beautifully arranged across the entire front of the church. Mrs. W. E. Beaman, Miss Caroline Walchli, Andrew Dunsire and W. F. Ruegsegger, who formed a mixed quartet, sang three selections, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. G. M. Fisher.
The pall-bearers were Curtis Miller, J. V. Miller, H. R. Houston, H. Cowman, H. E. Claypool and James Donovan, all of whom were neighbors of Mr. Meacham. Interment was made in Conrad Memorial cemetery under the direction of Waggener and Campbell.

Harmon E. Meacham was born November 20, 1864, at Roseville, Illinois. When about 15 years of age he went to Iowa, spending a few years there and in some other parts of the country. He first came to Montana in 1893 and a second time in 1900. Since 1910 the deceased had lived in Kalispell and was well known throughout the valley.
Mr. Meacham was married in 1895 to Kathleen Wright at Winterset, Iowa. Their oldest son, Rex, gave his life in the Argonne. They have four living children: Mrs. Otia Bienz of Spokane; Fred W., Jackson and Homer A. all of Kalispell.
The deceased is also survived by his mother, who is 88 years old and lives in Iowa; by two sisters, one in Iowa and one in Portland, Oregon; and by two brothers, one in Wyoming and the other in California.
Mr. Meacham was a member of the Masonic fraternity and of the Chrisitian church, having joined the latter in Illinois when a young man. Both his grandfathers were ministers. He, himself, was a patient, persistent, kindly man, loved and respected by all who knew him.
