|Birth: ||Dec. 30, 1839|
|Death: ||Mar. 8, 1910|
Frances "Fannie" was the daughter of Josiah and Susan M Horne. She was 70 when she passed away from cancer of the stomach in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was buried 10 Mar 1910 per family arrangements prior to her passing.
Frances attended Memphis Female College in 1855 and was well educated.
Frances "Fannie" was married 12 Nov 1856 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee to Alexander S. McNear. She went to live with her son, in Summit, Union County, New Jersey following the death of her husband, who had died in the Yellow Fever epidemic in Memphis back in 1885, according to the Passport application of Alexander S. McNear, his son. No records have been found to corroborate where his burial location is.
Her children are Mary Virginia "Jennie" McNear Taylor,
Samuel Alexander McNear, Susan H. McNear and Alexander Samuel McNear.
Jennie died after only being in New Jersey a mere 3 months according to NJ Death records. It is plausible that Jennie is buried here with her mother
Alexander Samuel married Euphemia L. Fairlie who passed away at 102 years of age. I am still searching for more family members, and pray that this memorial will be a beacon for those left behind.
