Kathleen (McGettigan), of Plymouth, formerly of Carver, died on Friday, June 17, 2005 at her home in Plymouth at the age of 77. She was the owner of the Cranberry Scoop Restaurant in Carver, and also was a secretary to the Carver police chief and a police matron. She previously worked for Harvard Trust Bank and the South Shore Community Action Council. She was born and educated in New York City. Mrs. DeAngelo lived in Carver for 35 years before moving to Plymouth 10 years ago. Kathleen was the wife of the late Frank DeAngelo. Mother of Joseph DeAngelo, Michelle DeAngelo and the late Danny Preach, Frank DeAngelo, Karen DeAngelo and Brian DeAngelo. Grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 5. She is also survived by many loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Katheleen's son Daniel Preach died in 1997 and her grandson Kevin Preach died as a result of wounds he received in Afghanistan in 2009. Both are also buried in this cemetery.
