Married William Henry McGettigan 13 October 1922. Hollister, San Benito County, California.
No known children.
Amelia was born in California in either Gilroy Township, Santa Clara County where her parents were farming in 1900 or Hollister Township, San Benito County, where they had moved by 1910.
After her father's death in 1911 she was a school girl living with her mother, brother Nick and sisters on a farm in Fairview District, San Benito County, in 1920. In 1930 she was living with her mother and sister Amelia and then in 1940 with her mother in Hollister Township.
Amelia's husband William McGettigan was born in San Jose. In the 1930 and 1940 census reports they are not living together and he is so far untraceable during those years. He is found as a gold miner in Grass Valley, Placer County, California in the 1942 WWII draft registration. His last residence was Marysville, Yuba County and was evidently a military veteran as he is buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery.
