Mrs. Margaret McWherter Barnett, 91, 409 St. Clair St., died in the Latrobe Hospital this morning, 10:15, where she had been a patient for the past six years. Born May 5, 1864, in Derry Twp., she was the daughter of the late James W. and Eliza Jane Forbes McWherter. She was the widow of Joseph Craig Barnett, who died in 1914, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are five daughters: Miss Mary Jo Barnett, at home; Mrs. Arthur E. (Margaret) Corn, Palo Alto, Calif.; Mrs. William D. (Julia) Kennedy, Beverly Hills, Calif.; Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Erwin, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs H.A. (Evelyn) Balencourt, Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mrs William Hartman, Greely, Colorado; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Hartman Funeral Home until Monday noon when the body will be removed to Unity Chapel to lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. when services will be conducted by the Rev. Wm. F. McClain. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
