Mrs. Nancy E. Mc Spadden wife of J. T. Mc Spadden, died at her home in Belton, Mo., Thursday Oct. 20, 1904, and was buried the following day at the Briant Cemetery. The funeral was preached at the Christian church by Dr. B. E. Dawson. Her Maiden name was Keeney. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Keney, and was born April 23, 1846, and married J. T. Mc Spaddem March 5 1867. She was the mother of six children, two sons and four daughters, only two of whom,—Rose L. and Fredonia V, with the aged husband survive her. She also leaves a sister and six brothers.

Mrs. P. M. Walton, J. T., W. R. , and F. M. Kenney, all of this city, R.B. of Willard, E. J. near Peculiar, and I. W. of Port Arthur Texas.

Early in life she united with the Christian church, then at High Blue, and was one of its charter members, ever remaining a faithful and consistent member till her death. For many year she had been a great sufferer from Asthma, and was thus deprived to a great extent from attending church services, which was a source of much sorrow to her, for she loved her church dearly, but she bore all her trials and suffering, as only a mother can, with a patience and fortitude which few possess. When she found that her life here on earth must soon cease, she expressed herself as ready and willing to go when her Savior should call her home, and when the summons came, the weary eye lids closed and she quietly fell asleep in Jesus.
