"Janie McNeeley Dies At Whitland
Janie McNeeley, aged 55, died at her home in Whiteland, Ind., last Thursday evening Dec. 3.
She had been confined to her bed following a paralytic stoke several weeks ago, and her relatives had despaired of her recovery.
Born in Lexington township, the daughter of George and Sarah Charles McNeeley, she spent her later marriage to A.J. Crum, of Charlestown, who died many years ago. She lived for some time in Louisville and moved to Whiteland, Ind., a few years ago.
A woman of sterling character and pleasant personality, she had many friends here who will regret her early death.
Surviving her are her sister, Mrs. Mary Fagan of Whiteland, Ind., brother John McNeeley, of Denver Col., George McNeeley of Trafalgar, Ind., Wm. McNeeley and her twin Jacob McNeeley, both of Scott County.
Rev. Lee conducted the funeral service Sunday afternoon at the Kimberlin Baptist church, with burial there in charge of L. B. Stewart & Son."
