Survived by children, Sherry McNeal, Deborah Smith (Tim), James McNeal (Sarah), Lori Reece (John) and their families; partner, Edna Baron and her children, Cheryl, Beverly and Susan; sister, Peg Opatz (Gerry). Member of the Shriners and all the many bands in which he played the tuba.
