Marilyn (McNeal) Baker, 76 of Camden, Ohio passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, OH. Born on June 16, 1934 in Columbus, OH the daughter of the late Lewis & Elnora (Rockenfield) McNeal. Marilyn and her husband Simon moved to Preble County near Camden on July 4, 1962. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brookville, OH. and was a Head Cook and Kitchen Manager in the Preble Shawnee School system for 23 years retiring in 1997. Preceded in death by her husband: Simon F. Baker in 1995.
Survivors: Son & daughters-in-law: John D. & Theresa Baker of Camden, OH and Grandson: Cordale D. Baker. Step-son & wife: Homer & Bunnie Baker of Cable, OH; Step daughter & husband: Helen L. & Robert Strayer of Springfield, OH; Brothers: Donald L. McNeal of Troy, OH and Ralph David McNeal of Dayton, OH; Sisters: Barbara Frock of Tremont City, OH and Kathryn Simpson of Springfield, OH; Step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street – Camden, Ohio with Dr. Richard Donavan and Pastor William Hogue officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, OH. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
