|Birth: ||May 23, 1934|

Daughter of Harry and Mary (Hill) McNeal.
Widow of Arthur A. Austin, Sr.
Mother of William Austin (predeceased), Arthur A. "Art" Austin, Jr., Barry Austin, Sr., and Karen Bachman.
Jeanette's life centered on her family and in helping others.
In her earlier years, she worked for Reynolds Springs in Chester, PA.
Throughout her life, she worked in various capacities. While in PA and after moving to DE she loved to bartend. With her friendly spirit, outgoing personality and wonderful outlook on life, she always was making new friends.
Jeanette was adventurous and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always known for her wonderful sense of humor, huge heart and her dedication to her family.
Jeanette devoted countless hours to helping others. Always willing to face a challenge, she enrolled at Delaware Technical Community College, taking classes to help those who abused drugs and alcohol.
She unselfishly volunteered her time to counsel those in need through Hope Volunteers and CASA.
Her kind heart never turned anyone away, often times opening her home to those less fortunate.
After ten dedicated years, she retired from Milford Memorial Hospital in 2004 where she enjoyed her job as switchboard operator.
Although her health had declined, she maintained her sense of humor to the very last day. Jeanette's zest for living was bigger than life and throughout her lifetime she embraced the lives of many.
Jeanette was a hard worker, but always devoted time to her family and many dear friends.
Embracing her fondest for life and to have fun, she enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle, crocheting and fishing.
She and her husband were avid dancers and will be remembered for their graceful and elegant waltzes.
Today, Jeanette is looking down and smiling at all the wonderful times she shared with Janet and Barbara, fondly known as the "Three Amigos".
In addition to the many volunteer organizations in which she was involved, Jeanette was a lifetime member of the Milford VFW Post and Moose Lodge.
