Irene H. Bader, 93, of Snover, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, in Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.
She was born Feb. 1, 1908, at home in Evergreen Township, Sanilac County to Daniel and Ethel (Bond) McNaughton. She married Lloyd L. Bader on June 16, 1931, in Cass City. He died March 21, 1997.
Irene loved to cook and bake. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Shabbona United Methodist Church and Shabbona Extension.
Irene is survived by her children, Robert Bader and his wife, Shirley, of Decker, Marjorie Caister and her husband, Arthur, of Cass City, Helen Hubbard and her husband, Newell, of Kingston, Donna Auten and her husband, Gerald, of Cass City, Dale Bader and his wife, Sandra, of Cass City, Wanda Parrott and her husband, Ronald, of Troy, and Audrey Halas of Royal Oak; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Burns of Cass City; brother, Elwyn McNaughton and his wife, Mary, of Cass City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Belva McIntosh and Hazel Stoutenburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Shabbona United Methodist Church in Shabbona with the Rev. Ellen Burns officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday in the church. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery in Cass City.
Memorials may be made to the Shabbona United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Kranz Funeral Home in Cass City.
