Joseph McMillion, 20, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2010, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He attended Wesleyan Chapel Church and loved hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Leroy McMillion Sr. and Dallas Carpenter Sr.; nephew, Isaiah James McMillion; uncle and aunt, Rodney and Debbie McMillion; uncle, Cameron Carpenter; and cousin and special friend, Kevin James McMillion.

Surviving are his parents, Leroy Jr. and Kim McMillion of Sissonville; brother, Travis McMillion and fiancée Christina Johnson of Sissonville; nephews, Caiden McMillion, Jakob Garcia and his mother, Samantha Garcia; niece and her mother, Michelle McMillion and Dawn Masterson; grandmothers, Josephine McMillion and Loretta Burgess and her husband James; uncle and aunt, Ronnie and Linda McMillion, uncle, Dale McMillion and companion, Stephanie Burdette, aunts, Donna and Erica McMillion; uncle and aunt, Dallas Carpenter II and wife Yvonne; aunt and uncle, Debbie and Glenn Coleman; aunt and uncle, Karen and Randall Butler; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 15, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Rex Whiteman officiating. Burial will be in Edens-McMillion Cemetery, Tuppers Creek.

Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
