Died Day after 50th Wedding Anniversary
Mrs. Milton Braithwaite Succumbs at her home near Summerville Following operation.
One day after the fiftieth anniversary of her marriage, Mrs. Sophia Braithwaite, wife of Milton Braithwaite, died at the family home near Summerville, Saturday morning at 2:30. Several weeks ago Mrs. Braithwaite underwent an operation at a Marion hospital.
Mrs. Braithwaite was nearly 70 years of age, having been born in Fayette county, Ohio, September 19,1849. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McMillen.
Aside from the husband three daughters and one son survive, as follows: Mrs. Alice Reinhart, Mrs. Laura Laughery, Mrs. Josephine Ritchey and W.C. Braithwaite.
Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the home. Burial was made at Oakdale cemetery, Marysville, S.R. Sanders in charge.
