Mrs. Camillia Jean Thomas McMillan, 65, died Wednesday night (December 22, 2010) at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, FL after an extended illness.
She was a native of Lanier County, but she has lived most of her life in Waycross. She was employed by Sears as a salesperson for 27 years, and she was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
She is the daughter of the late Ronzo Merle Studstill and Nancy Guess Cox, but she was raised by Aaron E. and Luvinnie Guess. She is the wife of the late James Herman McMillan. She is also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one son, Julian McMillan (wife Robin) of Waycross; six grandchildren, Blake and Brandi McMillan of Hinesville, Jenny and Pacey McMillan of Waycross, Ashley Buck (Randy) and Katie White (Mitch) both of Blackshear; two great grandchildren, Victoria and Alaya McMillan; brothers and sisters, Nancy Thrift of Waycross, Billy Thomas of Waycross, Myrtle Bennett of Stockton and Rev. Talmadge Guess of Homerville; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday (December 28, 2010) at Turner Baptist Church in Enigma. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Music Funeral Home.
