Douglas Wayne McMillan, 54, of Homerville died Thursday evening (Aug. 22, 2013) at his daughter's house in Blackshear after an extended illness. He was born in Valdosta to the late Benjamin and Deon Smith McMillan. Mr. McMillan lived in Homerville most of his life and was a painter. He always enjoyed fishing and car racing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Wayne McMillan, Jr.; one brother, Benji McMillan.

Survivors include one daughter, Crystal Llamas and her husband Joshua of Blackshear; one sister, Judy Johnston of Homerville; four brothers, Jackie McMillan and his wife Katrina of Valdosta, David McMillan and his wife Mary Lynn of Homerville, Alan McMillan and his wife Missy of Waycross, Joey McMillan of Homerville; special friend, Charlene McMillan of Blackshear; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 pm at Turner Church in Enigma. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 -8 pm at the funeral home.
