The deceased was a native of South Carolina, but as a child came with her parents, Col. and Mrs. McMeekin to Florida, settling at McMeekin in Putnam County. There she married G. F. Bullard, who later became county tax assessor here. For the past twenty-five years she has made her home in Jacksonville. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Rankin, of Asheville, N.C., and one son, Francis M. Bullard of Jacksonville, and two sisters, Mrs. E. R. Gladwin of Ft. Pierce, and Hilton P. McMeekin of Jacksonville.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Kyle Chapel, Jacksonville, with Rev. Thos. Hansen, pastor of the Main street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 28 Jul 1939.)
