A Jamestown resident since 1987, she was born July 23, 1960, in Fort Dix, N.J., a daughter of James McLaughlin Sr. and Elizabeth Schoch McLaughlin Pearson. She was a graduate of McCorstin High School, Trenton, N.J., Mercy County Community College and Trenton State University, now the College of New Jersey. She was employed by New Directions, formerly the Randolph Children's Home, as a secretary. While living in New Jersey, she was employed by Babe Ruth League Inc. She was a communicant of St. John Catholic Church, where she served as a eucharistic minister. She was especially close to her aunts, Doris Mattozzi and Elizabeth Stanfield, and uncle James Schoch. She enjoyed reading and cross stitch. Besides her mother of Florence, N.J., she is survived by her husband, John Bauer, whom she married Feb. 14, 1987, in Trenton, N.J.; a daughter, Ashley Bauer, at home; a sister, Kelly Rauch of Florence; a brother, James McLaughlin of Trenton; and her stepfather, Gerry Pearson of Florence. She was preceded in death by her father. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Gullo will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 6:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Roseanne Traniello Scholarship Fund, c/o Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring St., Jamestown, N.Y., 14701, or the Babe Ruth World Series Committee, P.O.
